Psychoeducational Assessment

  • Students can be supported legally in the school system in two ways typically, under the Individuals with Disabilities Edcuation Improvement Act (IDEA 2004; i.e., Special Education) and under Section 504 (Rehabilitation Act of 1973).
    • In addition to the assessment data provided under the Psychological Assessment area, I can help provide an assessment focused on achievement concerns
    • Assessment for a learning disability (e.g., dyslexia, dysgraphia)
  • However, assessment for learning disabilities only is a cash only payment. The reason insurance does not cover assessments for learning debilities is because the assessment is not considered "medically necessary" and the school system is technically able to provide the assessment for free (the difficulty can be when the school system does not believe there is a need for an assessment). Please contact us to discuss further!

  • A Psychoeducational Assessment can include:

  •   Screening areas can be completed for:
    • Auditory processing,
    • Visual-motor integration, and
    • Receptive and expressive language)
